Search

This option will allow you to search your application design file for occurrences of the specified constants. You can perform a case sensitive or insensitive search, as well as ignore occurrences of the constant(s) in ILF comment lines. Application Explorer will then search your ILF commands, Input, Output, Menu and Inquiry images, and the Data Dictionary. A report can be printed or displayed that shows where the specified constant(s) were found. From the display, you can drill down to the location of the hit. For example, this can be extremely useful for finding places where a user id has been hard coded.


Search W/ILF

This option is similar to the previous, except you can search for constants in conjunction with specific ILF commands. For example, you could search for every REWRITE command on the CUSTOMER file. From the display, you can drill down to the location of the hit. A report can be printed or displayed that shows where the specified constant(s) were found.
